How to let people view my apache server?
I'm a great web developer, but the actually server config makes me shake in my boots. Is there a way without buying a domain to let people view the files on my server externally? Like maybe giving it an IP address that people can look up or something? 1st answer that works gets 10 points.

Setting up domain with freeDNS and XAMPP? HELP!?
I bought a domain from GoDaddy. Then, I went to freedns.afraid.org and signed up with the domain. I then changed the nameservers in the domain settings on GoDaddy so that all 4 were NS1 through NS4 (.afraid.org), as instructed by freeDNS. I then found my IP address (public) and redirected both the naked domain and the subdomain www to that IP address. I then went and Port Forwarded ports 80, 81, 8080, and 8081 to my local IP address. I then installed XAMPP and enabled the Apache server, put my content in the root directory (C:/xampp/htdocs), and fired up Firefox. It works if I go to localhost/index.php, but if I go to mydomain.com/index.php or www.mydomain.com/index.php, it does not work. I even installed a recommended dynamic DNS client from freedns.afraid.org to update on my IP address (at least that's what I think it does), and it seems to communicate fine with freeDNS (it knows my domain names and everything). What do I need to do? Thank you so much (in advance).
