How do I sell a domain?
I recently bought a domain name and now I want to sell it. How do I got about selling it? How do I change my information over to the buyers? I bought one on register.com if it makes any difference.

How do you publish a website? Website questions.?
ok so I have never made a website and put it online before.
I know how to do html, css and javascript. I have made a website using notepad and I can view it in my browser by double clicking one of the htm files.
I will buy a domain name and pay for hosting (from godaddy or hostgator)
1) when I publish my website do I just upload all of the notepad files to my host and then link that host with the domain name I bought? Is that an easy process?
2) What is the advantage of using wordpress or joomla? Will it make managin the website and security of the website easier?
3) How to I add advertising banners and space to the website?
Basically I have made a website and now I dont know what to do in order to upload it. I know you have to have hosting and a domain name. What should I do next? How to I keep my site safe? If I want to change something on my site then do I just change the text files and reupload?

Why buy a domain name at one place and host at another?
I'm getting a website for my eBooks. in my research for a good hosting sight (I'm going with hostgator) I came across a video, and the person was saying that he buy's his domain's at 'godaddy' and transfers them to 'hostgator.'
My question is, why not just get your domain at hostator if that's who your going to be hosting with?What are the advantages of buying a domain mame with 'godaddy' and hosting with 'hostgator?'
