Help choosing a laptop?
Hey I'm going to be ordering a new laptop tomorrow and I just want to clear up a few things which I'm really torn on. Basically I want this laptop to be quite fast and powerful enough to run modern games. I don't mind if I can't run the games on the highest possible graphics settings but I basically want to be able to run all modern games with no lag on reasonable graphic settings and have a very fast laptop at the same time which is capable of multi-tasking quite extensively. What I won't be using it for is for rendering, video-editting or any sort of modelling. I did find a laptop for �810 - the important specifications on it are 8GB RAM, 17.3 inch screen, 2GB dedicated graphics memory with an nVidia GT555 M and a 2.4GHz intel quad core processor which turbo boosts up to 3.5GHz. This is quite a steep price for me and is pretty much the highest I can go. I also found another laptop for �579 which has the following specifications - 8GB RAM, 17.3 inch screen, dedicated 2GB AMD 6650 graphics card and 250GB more hard drive space. The processor is a dual core 2.4GHz intel which turbo boosts up to 3GHz. So based on everything I've said can anybody help me choose which laptop to buy, whether its worth the extra cost, what the actual difference in performance will be or perhaps recommend another laptop based on what I want?
